Farmers in the Perth Hills have been growing red dates (also known as jujubes) for over 20 years. The fresh fruit is delicious, crunchy and sweet, and is revered across the globe. When Old Macdonald was asked to make a Red Date Gin, he had no idea how delicious it would be. Made like a traditional Sloe Gin, the Red Date Gin needs time and patience. Its sweetness and mouthfeel remind some of tawny port or Muscat and there is no doubt that this has become a firm favourite 'slow' gin for all who love to drink something a little bit different.
